The Spellbinder

Geoff Campion art from Lion dated 22nd July 1972.

Sylvester Turville: a kind've cut-price Dumbledore, but with a hangover and dog-ends thrown in.

  1. Greetings from Wetaland.

Glad you like the art Marcos. A lot of Spanish and South American artists worked for British comics companies. Check out the Spanish comics artists link.

  2. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Campion British? That aside,I always look forward to your Spellbinder posts. My absolute favourite strip alongside Adam Eterno.A bound volume of all his strips would be a joy if it ever appeared on the bookshelves.Until then,we have your contributions ;-)Great blog BTW,

    the Cap.

  3. Hi Captain.
Thank you for the kind remarks. It's nice to know that people are looking at the blog!

Marcos seemed so enthusiastic I just assumed he was talking about ALL the art on the site. But, to avoid confusion: you're right, Geoff Campion was British.

For those that are interested-here's a link to a short bio:
