  3. You have a page? Wow, I'd love to see that. I have an episode of Paddy Payne from 1961. I have them on the wall in the hallway. I often look at them and find some detail I've missed. I recently visited The Cartoon Museum in London. They had two Charley's War originals on display. Lovely stuff!

  4. Hi Crow, I did hear that some of joe's original charley's war artwork was on show in london not had a chance to see it yet. I just love joe's artwork so was lucky when I got a chance to buy some of his earlier work, I do have 2 pages of zip nolan plus 22 pages of paddy payne dating from 1960-63 did cost a bit but worth every penny. As you said you can find something new in them every time you look at them so much detail in his work from his characters, war planes, warships or background. His backgrounds are amazing so much hidden detail in them, I have some original Lion comics and you notice how so much detail is lost in the printing, joe must have knew that but that didn't stop him spending so much time filling every inch of the page in. The man was a true legend, thankfully some of us have some of his original work to show what a amazing artist he was pity so much of his work was lost.
