Art by Dave Gibbons. Not sure of the date. It was part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of 2000AD. This page made me chuckle. I did kinda lose interest in 2000AD when the painted art came in and everyone wanted to be like Simon Bisley.
You seem to be in the know of the names of artists, I was delighted to find the name for the artist on death wish, in valiant 1975.
Im just wondering if you would know the name of the artist in the same issue on a story called the Lout that ruled the Rovers, and is stories that started on the 10 of april 1976, Soldier Sharp, Paco and Wee Red.
The Lout That Ruled the Rovers was drawn by Spanish artist Felix Carrion. He also did the latter Hook Jaw stuff in the original Action, Double Dynamite in the relaunch and some later episodes of Flesh in 2000AD.
Great Blog, I love the randomness of it.

Hey. Thanks for the kind words. I'd need to have a look at the art to see if I could recognise the artists for those stories.
