I love Ian Kennedy's work, but he has a very clean/slick style, not really suited for depicting the grittiness of the Russian front. I think someone like Mike Dorey might have been better suited for Johnny Red. Nothing wrong with John Cooper's run on the strip: but I think the strip lost a certain authenticity after Joe Colquhoun left. I certainly lost interest in the strip post JC.
Would of been a great choice after Joe Colquhoun left (John Cooper was ok though). Johnny looks a little fresh faced here though!
